13 Residents braved the cold on Thursday 5 July to visit Gardenworld Nursery, Collector’s Corner and Lotus Watergardens. There was so much to see - colour for the garden, beautiful orchids in full bloom, incredible bonsai specimens, stunning crystals and more. A most enjoyable morning culminated with a delicious lunch in the Gardenworld Café.
The concept of Ebenezer Christian Retirement Village was conceived over 30 years ago when a plan for the total development was drawn up. The building of the first units started in 1988 and after the construction of a number of phases over the years, the final 11 units were completed in 2014. [...]
Fitness exercises are given each morning at 7.30am by an expert fitness instructor. Ladies attend on Tuesdays and Thursdays and gents attend each morning from Monday to Friday. All residents are encouraged to participate. Workouts are managed at the individuals own pace.
A vast range of library books catering for most genre is located in the Community Hall. The library can be accessed during normal working hours on Mondays to Fridays.
This new activity has captured the imagination of a number of our residents who have created some wonderful pieces of art using the natural resources provided by nature - bark of trees, sand and grit, Art on Bark sessions are held weekly on Thursday afternoons in our Community Hall.
